  1. Amityville: The Awakening When Belle’s (Bella Thorne) mother, Joan (Jennifer Jason Leigh), moves her family to a new home, they discover it’s… you guessed it… that Amityville house. This is the 17th film centered around that particularly spooky domicile.
  2. A Dog’s Purpose – Sure to be a winner among animal lovers, this Lasse Hallstrom-helmed dramedy chronicles a dog’s desire to find meaning in the life that he shares with multiple owners and families. Stars include Dennis Quaid and Josh Gad.
  3. Fifty Shades Darker – Based on the novel of the same name, this hotly anticipated sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey reunites Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) for additional amorous adventures.
  4. Kong: Skull Island – This action-adventure stars Tom Hiddleston as an explorer who hopes to find monster ape King Kong’s origins. Samuel Jackson and Room‘s Brie Larson co-star.
  5. Logan – This future-set installment of the superhero franchise finds Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart) coping with losing The X-Men.
  6. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter – Picking up immediately after the last Resident Evil film, this action-thriller concludes the entire video game-inspired series depicting a horrific end-of-humanity scenario. Milla Jovovich reprises her role as Annie.
  7. Split – Written and directed by thriller-meister M. Night Shyamalan, this horror flick stars James McAvoy as a criminal with multiple personalities; as the kidnapper’s latest victims attempt to escape his clutches, a new and even more menacing personality emerges.
  8. The Comedian – Robert De Niro stars as an aging comedian who forms an unexpected bond with a younger woman played by Leslie Mann while doing community service for an assault on a heckler.
  9. The Founder – Ever wondered how a small-time salesman from Illinois started the fast-food giant that has sold billions of burgers? Now’s your chance to find out with this biopic chronicling the life of Ray Kroc, creator of McDonald’s.
  10. The Great Wall – Matt Damon stars in this monster-epic-mystery-history-drama amalgam set during construction of a particularly large wall that you may have heard of.
  11. The Shack – Aussie actor Sam Worthington co-stars with Radha Mitchell in this faith-based drama about a man questioning the existence of a higher power following a tragedy; based on the book by the same name.
  12. Underworld: Blood Wars – Kate Beckinsale returns in the fifth installment of the Underworld series as “death dealer” Selene. Theo James and Charles Dance co-star. Could this finally be the end of the epic battle between Lycans and vampires? We’ll find out when the Blood Wars commence.
